Arne discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2003. Five years later, he travelled to Mysore, India to practice and pay his respects to Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Since then, he has gone back yearly to Mysore for further studies with his teacher R. Sharath Jois and Saraswathi Jois, the grandson and daughter of Guruji. Arne completed Advanced A series at Sharath Yoga Center in 2019. Ever since, he has been learning Advanced B series under the direct guidance of R. Sharath Jois.

In 2010, Arne received the blessings of the Jois family and was authorized to teach both the Primary and the full Intermediate Series.
In 2023, Arne received the blessing to get Certified by R. Sharath Jois, to teach Advanced A series as well.

Being one of the select few to receive this privilege, Arne likes to teach and help his students develop a self-practice. It is his firm belief that self-practice is a great beginning to help each individual on their journey towards the knowledge of oneself.

Arne has developed Mysore programs in different countries. He has taught regularly in South East Asia, in places such as The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

He taught for few months over two consecutive years at Mysore Tokyo, in Japan.
After Covid, he resumed his visits to Japan, this time to explore and expand his teachings to other cities such as Oita and Kyoto.

In Europe, he teaches yearly in Switzerland. He has also taught in Spain, Portugal and Hungary and he looks forward to go back to those countries in the future.

In 2017, he started developing the Mysore program in Beirut, Lebanon, and he has gone back for several months every year.

Whenever it’s possible he does the same back in his home town, when he visits his family in Mexico City.
